Attention, All Club Members!

We’re excited to announce that we’re gearing up for The National Specialty AKC Hunt Test on Tuesday, October 7th, and Wednesday, October 8th, 2025. This will be a thrilling AM/PM double-double test, and we need your help to succeed. I’m compiling the application now and need at least five committee members to join the team. Given our double-double format, having two committees—one for each day—and one Test Secretary to oversee all four tests would be ideal. I’ll use the PerfDog event enrollment program, which simplifies everything for the Test Secretary and minimizes confusion.

Here’s what we’re looking for:

1. Bird Coordinator: We need someone to organize the bird planters for all four tests and manage our birds. I’m planning to use quail—they should be decent flyers by that time of year.

2. Sergeant of the Guns: Looking for a volunteer to line up gunners for the Senior Hunter (SH) and Master Hunter (MH) tests. We could use the same gunner for both, but I’d love to get as many folks involved as possible.

3. Meal Organizer: We need someone to handle meals—lunch each day for sure, and possibly a supper on Tuesday evening, October 7th. The facility has a great spot for everyone to gather and enjoy.

4. Equipment Manager: This person will be in charge of water tubs, bird field flags, and helping us secure at least two UTVs for our judges.
