The AWPGA invites you and your griffons to attend the 2017 National Specialty! This year's specialty will be in Millwood, Virginia, at the Historic Long Branch House and Farm, in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley.  There will be eight days of events, beginning Sunday, September 24 and ending Sunday, October 1. The first three days will consist of a water test and two hunt tests at Quail Hollow Hunting Preserve in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia, about 45 minutes from Millwood.  The last five days will be filled with sweepstakes, the specialty, supported entry, obedience, rally, banquets, dinners, seminars, an auction, and the annual meeting. If you want to spend some time enjoying the area, there is so much available, from enjoying the natural beauty of Skyline Drive to visiting vineyards.

LODGING near the hunt site is available at pet-friendly cabins at Cacapon Resort State Park, Berkeley Springs, WV, www.cacaponresort.com, 304-258-1022. Rates range from $75 to $110 per cabin per night.  There are 6 pet-friendly cabins being held for Sunday, September 24 and Monday, September 25, and most of them are available for additional nights if needed. These cabins will be held until August 25, 2017, under the group name "Hunting Dog Judges". Make your reservation by calling the phone number above. There is a pet fee of $50 per pet for the first night, with an additional $5 per pet for additional nights, with a limit of two pets per cabin.  Here is the Pet Policy for WV State Parks.
